Everest has finalized a lease that will bring Consumer Cellular to an 85K square foot location in the Tempe Commerce Park. The eight-year lease begins this Spring and Consumer Cellular will occupy the entire space of Building F at the property.
“The Commerce Park was an excellent Tempe location for the growing Consumer Cellular, and will provide space for a large business call center that needs to occupy more than 75K square feet with plenty of parking,” said Everest Holdings President and CEO Joe Blackbourn. “This type of space is in high demand, and quickly running out of supply in the Phoenix area. The competition will soon be limited primarily to build-to-suits,” Blackbourn said.
Everest Holdings purchased the Tempe Commerce Park property in May of 2013. Everest paid $12.2 million ($76.10 per foot) to acquire 160,313 square feet of back-office space located within the Commerce Park in Tempe.
Consumer Cellular will occupy the space at 7410 S. Roosevelt Street, Tempe as of Spring 2014. The building is situated on a 6.5 acre back office/distribution parcel located one mile east of the I-10 freeway in highly desirable Tempe. Everest currently owns three other buildings within the submarket.
The Tempe Commerce Park sale was represented by broker Lee & Associates Principal Rick Lee. Mike Nye of Capacity Commercial of Portland, OR represented the tenant, Consumer Cellular.
